The best costumes we saw at the C2E2 comic book convention

There was some incredible cosplay on display.

We spent this past weekend hanging out with fans at C2E2, one of the largest comic book conventions in the country. For three days, MeTV set a booth smack dab in the middle of the floor of the massive McCormick Place Convention Center in downtown Chicago. We were there to talk about Super Sci-Fi Saturday Night — including the upcoming Battlestar Galactica!

Oh, and Svengoolie himself was there in person on Saturday to sign autographs and walk the floor.

Thousands of MeTV viewers stopped by to take a selfie inside our vintage television. If you were one of those people, thank you for saying hello! We love seeing you guys face to face.

Speaking of faces, a majority of them were wearing some kind of amazing costume. The cosplay never ceases to amaze us. These homemade outfits can rival the work of movie studios.

We gathered some of our favorite costumes to share with those who could not make it. Keep an eye out for us at future events!

The best cosplay from C2E2 2017

There were countless Batmen roaming the floor, but we particularly loved the 1966 look, of course! Follow us on Instagram @metvnetwork for more photos.

Father and son as Batman and Robin.

Who better to face off against Batman? This classic Riddler look from @clinthouse.

Even more Batman rogues like Poison Ivy and Harley Quinn, courtesy of @missmeghan117.

Here's a vintage Flash and friends from Jennifer KT on Facebook.

We love a deep TV reference like Iron Chef Hiroyuki Sakai — pear included!

We love the new show Legion, but this World's Angriest Boy outfit will haunt our dreams.

Hey, it's Baymax!

Where in the world is Carmen Sandiego? In our booth at C2E2!

This was probably the best Batgirl costume we saw all weekend.

Yep, Batman is quite popular. Here's his former sidekick Nightwing.

Video game characters were everywhere — even Pac-Man. Here are some dudes from Street Fighter.

No video game was more represented than the wildly popular Overwatch. Here is a Tracer from the game.

Yep, another Overwatch character, Widowmaker.

Of course, the entire Star Wars universe was well represented, including deeper characters like Cad Bane.

It's The Hangover

…and it's "Luke Hangover" in this Star Wars mashup.

An enchanting makeup effect.

Some fans talked quietly and carried a big chainsaw.

You could see just about every Marvel character you could think of, even Moon Knight.

@pizzaandthegeek was ready for adventure.

@Phoole was all smiles and lightsabers.

She seemed like a big Svengoolie fan…

…speaking of which, last but not least, we have to end on our own Svengoolie, who met and mingled with fans. Here he is posing with the one and only Wil Wheaton of Star Trek: The Next Generation!

Watch Svengoolie on MeTV!

Saturdays at 8 PM

*available in most MeTV markets
