Sixty-five years ago this week, I Love Lucypremiered in primetime. It didn't take long for audiences to catch on to the brilliance that was the show and the comedic genius displayed by Lucille Ball, Desi Arnaz, Vivian Vance and William Frawley.
For six seasons, I Love Lucy ranked as one of the top-rated shows. Today, it stands as one of the most-watched, most successful and most-beloved sitcoms of all time. There's good reason for that too. I Love Lucy consistently makes us laugh out loud each and every time we watch it. That's something that hasn't really been done with other sitcoms since it went off the air in 1957.
