Who's missing: Gomer or Goober?

A pile of Pyles!

Out of all the kinfolk on The Andy Griffith Show, no two are as equally endearing as Gomer and Goober.

These two cousins bring the laughs and the heart to every episode they appear in. But! Can you tell which of the two was in each of these episodes?

We'll pick some examples, and blank out either Goober or Gomer from the episode title. Your job is to pick the right cousin!

Good luck, and be sure to share your score in the comments section below!

10/11. Missed #11, I was thinking "A Date For Gomer"
It is " A Date for Gomer", it's when he goes out with Thelma Lou's cousin, Mary Grace.
I think MeTV got it wrong.
MeTV actually got this one right. A girl for Goober is the episode where he gets with Lydia
That's "A Girl for Goober", the question was " A Date for Gomer", so MeTV is wrong

"You got 10 out of 11. Way to go!"

Missed # 11, I thought it was Ernie Pyle.
I don't think many people will recall him anymore, so my small joke probably won't work.

Sneaky, #6 & #11 tripped me up, A date for and A girl for, hey it's fun to test the memory on these tags. I remember Barn saying All Gods "childen" got a girl. CLASSIC Barn.

Love them both, Gomer and Goober !

So sweet when Gomer rushes out to buy Thelma Lou’s cousin a corsage and then they just stay home and dance. “ You were right Andy, She’s nice, she’s real nice !

My favorite Goober episode is when he goes to the Auto Show. The sweet sensitive way he doesn’t want to embarrass his old friend when he sees him working under a car at the gas station.

I remember watching the auto show episode when it first aired when I was a kid. It made quite an
impression on me. People are wrong when they claim TV can't be a good influence on kids.

Fun Girls is one of my favorites, the best part was Goober & Gomer took Helen & Thelma Loo to the dance. Goobers imitations of Carey Grant & sewing his fingers together, then watching Gomer dance those big steps with Helen! Good stuff!!

And Gomer's reaction to Goober's Cary Grant is what makes it for me - Gomer just thinks it's the greatest thing ever!

The Fun Girls were a perfect audience for Gomer and Goober. 😆

If the Fun Girls married the Pyles, that would have generated some funny episodes.
Maybe make a modern spin off with these characters and have Alf live with them.
A modern spin off? They are all dead. Well, I guess Alf could be brought back to life.
Colby,
Pul-lease! Even Blind Freddy knows I didn't mean the original actors, hence "modern".
Alf should have been brought back already, at least by a savvy Purina for it's cat food
commercials.
